In 1865, Louise M. Inslee and Joseph Cullen Root were united in marriage in Lyons, Clinton County, Iowa. They became the parents of two fine sons, Harry Joseph Root (1869–1944); and, Alanson Inslee Root (1874–1944). Louise passed away September 30, 1910, in Omaha, Douglas County, Nebraska. The final resting place for Louise and her husband, Joseph Cullen Root, is the Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Omaha, Douglas County, Nebraska; Plot: Section - 24, Lot - 446.
