Glenna Elaine Puffer
September 21, 1938 - October 27, 2020 (age 82)

Glenna Elaine Puffer, beloved mother and grandmother, 82, passed away peacefully October 27, 2020 at her home in North Creek, Utah. Glenna was born September 21, 1938 in North Creek to Wanda Crosby Merchant and Charles Glen Merchant. She grew up in North Creek, Beaver, Utah.

She went to school in North Creek and attended Beaver High School until she married Fred Powell Puffer on September 4, 1954. Together they had three children, Dan P. Puffer, Lenzy M. Puffer and Debbie Mainwood. They were sealed together in the St. George temple in June 1981. They were married for almost 63 years when Fred passed away in 2017. They spent every waking moment together.

Glenna loved the outdoors, she enjoyed hunting, farming, camping, riding her horses, taking care of all animals, canning, cooking and especially spending time with her family. She had a great love for genealogy. She worked right alongside Fred their entire marriage. Every fall after all the farm work was done, she would be right there packing deer camp up South Fork. She could call the cows in from the field with the horn on her truck or her one and only “Come On Cows”. Glenna had a love for all animals. If they were branding cows and she could hear a kitten, she would be looking for the kitten to take care of it. She was the only one who could run the Bale Wagon and she did it with no complaint. She ran it until her knee would no longer let her. Glenna worked at Beaver Valley Hospital as a CNA for a short time. She had a smile that could brighten any room and a laugh that was infectious to all. We love you Grandma and you are going to be missed.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Glenna is survived by her sons, Dan P. Puffer of Beaver, Utah, Lenzy Puffer of Beaver, Utah, her daughter Debbie Mainwood of Beaver, Utah, her granddaughters and grandsons, Angie (Ryan) Rust of Minersville, Utah, Amanda (Jeremiah) Cooley of Minersville, Utah, Daniel (Sandy) Dekker of St. George, Utah, Jeremy Puffer, of Salt Lake City, Uah, Lacy (Willy) Guenther of Rock Springs, Wyoming, Weston Puffer of Rock Springs, Wyoming, Jared (Danielle) Puffer of Beaver, Utah, Charlie Puffer, of Rock Springs, Wyoming and Cody (Whitney) Puffer of Beaver, Utah and many great grand-children.

Glenna was preceded in death by her husband Fred Powell Puffer, her parents Glen and Wanda Merchant, her brother Max Yarbrough, her sisters, Elvie Merchant, Lorena Merchant, Susan Merchant and her son in law Steve Mainwood.

Glenna’s family would like to extend a very heartfelt thank you to Dr. Wade Oakden, Beaver Valley Hospital, Beaver Home Health and Hospice and all her friends who stopped in to check on her over the last few years.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. with a viewing from 9:00 - 10:15 A.M prior to services. Interment will be at the Mountain View Cemetery, under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.
