Richard Mac Akins, 77, of Decatur passed away on October 3, 2020, in Springdale, AR.

He was born June 6, 1943, in Denison, Texas to the late Archie and Marcella Akins.

He was a veteran of the United States Army.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Akins of Decatur, daughter-in-law Belenda Craig (Matt), 6 grandchildren, Richard Akins, Cheyenne Childers (Jeremy), Cody Akins, Dominique Ciampoli and Isabella Ciampoli and Henry Galvez, son-in-law Garry Ciampoli. Seven great-grandchildren, Landon Webb, ShyLee, Rowdy, Kiersten and Jeremiah Childers, Reagan and Maverick Akins, 3 sisters, Sheila Hummel, Maggie Johnson and Molly Akins from Rogers and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Brian Akins, daughter Brenda Ciampoli, 3 brothers, Louis Akins, Billy Akins and Stephen Akins, 2 sisters Carolyn Akins and Susan Bryan.

Arrangements are under the care of Benton County Funeral Home of Rogers.
