Mrs. Betty J. Stidham Bowling, passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at the Hyden Health & Rehab Center. She was 92 years old. Betty was born September 26, 1928 at Combs, KY., the daughter of the late, Elijah Stidham & Nellie Smith Stidham. She had been a resident of Leslie Co. most of her life. She had also lived in Detroit Michigan & Florida. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother & homemaker. Betty was a charter member of the Wooton Baptist Church. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, bird watching, gardening, flowers & spending time with her family.
Betty was preceded in death by; her beloved parents, loving & devoted husband, Tester "Ted" Bowling, 2 beloved daughters, Janet Bowling Baker & Tommie Delores Bowling, 1 beloved son, Randolph "Randy" Bowling & 2 brothers, Thomas & Marion Stidham. She leaves the following relatives surviving; 3 beloved sons, Gregory Dewayne Bowling (Colleen), PA., Patrick Scott Bowling (Tammy), Franklin, KY. & Christopher Clark Bowling (Lorna), Texas, 2 beloved daughters, Susan Cobb, GA. & Deborah Bowling, Hyden, KY., 1 brother, James Stidham (Luana), Crossville, TN., sister-in-law, Helen Stidham, Michigan, a host of treasured grandchildren, great grandchildren & great great grandchildren. Also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends survive.
