Cynthia "Cyndi" Ellen Roberts, 70, of Springfield, died at 12:54 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27, 2020, at Sunrise Skilled Nursing. Cyndi was born October 16, 1950, in Murphysboro, the daughter of Guy and Audrey Will Frayser. She married Dwight Roberts on April 24, 1987, in Springfield.
Cyndi graduated from Montrose High School in Colorado and earned her associate degree from Logan College in 1984. She proudly served her country in the U.S. Army and was employed as an ICU nurse at St. John's Hospital for four years. Cyndi later went to work as a nurse and insurance auditor for Prairie Cardiovascular. She was a member of Christ the King Parish and the Experimental Aircraft Association through her husband who is a pilot. Cyndi enjoyed crocheting, traveling with her husband, and being her husband's co-pilot.
She was preceded in death by her parents and mother-in-law, Marylan Roberts.
Cyndi is survived by her husband, Dwight of Springfield; brother, Steve (wife, Jan) Frayser of Lincoln, NE; and two nephews, Greg and David.
Cremation was provided by Lincoln Land Cremation Society.
Burial will be held at a later date at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
