Bobbie Jean Mack-Hall entered this world on May 27, 1958 in Crawfordsville, Arkansas to the proud parents Hattie Mae Pye and Major Mack.
The foundation of her youth was built around family. At an early age, she relocated to Chicago. Bobbie loved her family and joyfully cared for her brothers and sisters growing up. Bobbie enjoyed the richness of academic life and graduated from Farragut Career Academy High School in Chicago, Illinois. She furthered her education and attended Catherine College where she enrolled and completed the Nursing program becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). She worked at the Haywood nursing facility for many years as a compassionate and dedicated hard worker, caring for the needs of the residents.
Bobbie accepted Christ at an early age as her personal savior, and attended Union Hill M.B. Church of Chicago, Illinois under the leadership of the late Pastor August Minor where she served as a faithful member until she relocated from Chicago.
In May 1990, Bobbie was united in holy matrimony to Anthony J. Hall.
Bobbie had a zest for life and a passion for looking out for others. Her energetic spirit, generosity and sharp wit were a natural draw for people. She was known for entertaining others. She hosted talent shows, fashion shows, and many memorable gatherings. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with family and friends, so much so that she never had a problem with feeding the “whole neighborhood” because when she cooked, it was always more than enough to do so. In her leisure time, Bobbie loved watching “western movies”, although her favorite movie of all times was “Pretty Woman.” Bobbie was someone who was warm, kindhearted, giving, and she had a smile that would light up any room. She was a great mother who ensured her kids wanted or needed for nothing.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her father, Major Mack; step-father, Willie Alexander and sister, Willie Ingram-Conley.
Our beloved Bobbie leaves to hold and cherish her memories, her husband, Anthony J. Hall; her mother, Hattie Mae Pye; son, Demetrius Mack (Sonia); daughter, Chiquita Norsworthy (Alvin); four grandsons, Le’Darrius Norah, Demetrius Mack, Jeremiah Mack and Brandon Macklin; seven sisters, Betty Brown (EJ), Lula Boatman, Bobbie Johnson (Nate), Bessie Pye, Avis Pye, Carolyn Johnson (Chuck) and Diane Pye; four brothers, Charles Whitaker, Calvin Clay, Dewayne Pye, and Turell Pye and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Internment will be held on Monday October 26, 2020 at Oakridge – Glenn Oak Cemetery 4301 W. Roosevelt Road Hillside, Illinois 60162.
