Patricia A. Ashley was born on Christmas Eve, 1932, and died October 28, 2020, in Ascension St. Vincent's Hospital, Evansville. Her parents were Russell and Sarah King Brown, who preceded her in death.

Also preceding her in death was a sister, Betty Bottom, and son-in-law, Stan Ensor.

Pat was a graduate of Bosse High School and of Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing. She practiced her profession as a registered nurse until she started a family, after which she was a stay at home mom and wife. She was a former member and president of Gamma Iota Chapter of Tri Kappa Sorority and a former member and president of the Board of Trustees of the Boonville-Warrick County Public Library. She was an active member of the Main Street United Methodist Church, Boonville for over 65 years. She was a former member of Rolling Hills Country Club and was a present member of the Boonville Country Club and the Boonville Elks Club.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Don Ashley, her daughters, Sarah Ensor of Boonville, and Laura Broadhead, and her husband John Broadhead of Newburgh, and a son, Dan Ashley of Boonville. She is also survived by granddaughters, Jessica Hudson and her husband, Drew Hudson of Evansville, and Anne Zuckerman and her husband, Drew Zuckerman of Newburgh, and grandsons, Ben Broadhead and his fiancé, Molly Harkins, of Zionsville, and Patrick Ashley of Indianapolis and Noah Ashley of Boonville. Pat was especially thrilled with the birth of her great-grandchildren, twins, Ashley and Olivia Zuckerman and Cameron Hudson. Also left grieving was a niece, Karen Bottom.

Each of her grandchildren, aside from being honor students in high school, was a multiple sport athlete, and together amassed a total of 37 varsity letters. She and Don joyfully spent 15 years of their golden years following each grandchild as they participated in high school athletic events, and also their granddaughters who played softball in college.

Pat will be cremated, and private services will be held on Saturday, November 7. Published in Courier Press from October30, to Nov. 1, 2020.
