Bertha Mae Davis, 88 of Vernon, Texas died on Monday, October 28, 2019, in Vernon, Texas.
Memorial service will be Monday, November 4, 2019 at 1:00 pm at First Baptist Church.
Bertha was born Sunday, April 26, 1931 in Hugo, Oklahoma; she was the daughter of the late Jim Grimes and the late Bertha Mae Whitson Grimes. She worked at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington. She was a Baptist. She was a homemaker.
Bertha is survived by her husband Charles Lendon Davis, Jr. of the home. two sons, Louis Bess of Wichita Falls, TX and Kim Bess of Vernon, TX, daughters, Teresa Smith of Vernon, TX and Deana Pierce of Indiahoma, OK. She is survived by one sister Lois Newton of Vernon, two brothers William Grimes and Johnie Grimes both of Dalhart. Bertha is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.
Memorials can be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls.
