Gerald W. Hayes, 77, of El Dorado, AR passed away October 26, 2020 in Brandon, MS.
He was born July 25, 1943 in El Dorado, AR to Elmer Ode Hayes and Mildred Elizabeth Lane Hayes. He worked as an engineer for Union Pacific for 46 years. He was of the Baptist faith.
Preceding him in death are his parents, a daughter, Sara Landes and a granddaughter, Lakin Brown.
Survivors include his daughters, Carmen Cook (Robert) of Brandon, MS & Tammy Reap (Chris) of El Dorado, AR; a son, Trent Atkinson of Conway, AR; a brother, Melvin Hayes of Felsenthal, AR; a sister, Cheryl Chandler (Joel) of Overland Park, KS and grandchildren, Gunnar Brown, Jaxson Brown, Carson Vaughan, Millicent Reap, Anna-Kate Reap, Trenton Atkinson and Isaac Atkinson.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 30, 2020 at Arlington Memorial Park under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors. Visitation will begin at 11:30 prior to the service at the funeral home.
