Harold Scholes Goff was born February 23, 1931 to the loving parents of Leland Naylor Goff and Sarah Scholes Goff. He was the youngest child, with two older sisters, Dora Goff Speth and Marie Goff Allred, both deceased.

Harold served a full time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in Australia, where he helped many people find their way home and united many people with their eternal families.

Harold joined the United States Air Force, where he trained fighter pilots. He served during the Korean War. He had the privilege of going on an Honor Flight tour in 2019 with his son-in-law, Brian, and dear friend, Noel. They went to Washington, D.C. to visit the war memorials. He was filled with pride to see the love and respect given to these heroes.

Harold was a very hardworking and determined man. He spent many years working and enjoyed every second of it. He retired from IBM and Eastman Kodak. He also worked security at Energy Solutions Arena. At the age of righty-nine, neighbors could see Harold out mowing his own lawn. Harold didn't like accepting help from people, but was always the first one to offer help or advice.

Harold loved captivating people with his many stories that others loved to hear. He had an abundance of friends, who he cared about deeply and always had a smile on his face and a story ready for any stranger he met.

Harold is survived by his wife, Connie Johnson Goff; and three children Amy Harmon, Kris (Brian) Bergstrom, and Steven Harold Goff. Harold had eight grandkids, Mitchell, Taylor, Kiera (Michael), Joshua, Berkley, Sydney, Ellie, and Olivia; and one great-grandchild, Max. Harold loved all of his grandchildren very much. He was always excited to see them, and would make his famous pecan brittle for them. He loved to call and talk to them and supported them in all of their games and dance competitions.
