DENNIS LEE BENSON March 29, 1943 - June 12, 2012 Dennis, 69 yrs old, will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. He has reached goals that nobody thought he could obtain. At birth his mother and father were told that Dennis would be deaf, blind, never be able to take care of himself or walk, due to his many physical disabilities. But Dennis was determined and he accomplished all of those milestones. He is survived by his mother, Margie Benson, who devoted her life to meticulous care for Dennis until 10 yrs ago; his father, A. Kenneth Benson (Edith), who always had encouraging words for Dennis and taught him to sing and enjoy music; his sisters, Jean Wheeler (Marsha McLean), of Tacoma, WA, Rene Ray, of Tacoma, WA, Tammy Ross (Tim), of Lakewood, WA; brothers Wayne Benson of Everett, WA, and Allen Benson (Jina) of Gig Harbor, WA. Dennis also leaves behind many other loving, supportive friends and relatives. He was preceded in death by his always cheerful brother Mark Benson and his beautiful baby grand niece Brooke Lyn Wells. Dennis' family wants to give a big "Thank You" to Cascade Gardens Assisted Living and Park Rose for the wonderful care and friendships given to Dennis.
