Obituary for Troy Lynn Sims
Troy Lynn Sims, 58, of Orange, passed away on October 27, 2020, in Orange.

Cremation will be under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Orange, Texas, on May 17, 1962, he was the son of Elton Sims and Leona (Lewis) Sims. Troy worked as a painter for the Painters Local Union for a number of years. He had a kind soul and was happy go lucky all the time. Troy would do anything to make you smile, even if it made him look silly. He had a heart of gold and loved children, often taking in many as his own over the years. Troy enjoyed motorcycles, hyrdrosliding, going to the lake, fishing with his friend Marty Taylor, and working on things. He loved his Trans Am and dancing. Troy was a big softy through and through with the ability to turn anyone’s bad day into a good one, and a smile that would light up a room. His well lived life touched the hearts of all those he loved and will leave a lasting impact for generations to come.

He was preceded in death by his father, Elton Sims.

He is survived by his loving wife of 8 years, Stormy Sims; mother, Leona Sims; children, Ashley Robbins and husband Austin of Elkhart, Indiana, Dustin Sims and wife Julia of Orange, Tabitha “Durr Durr” Sims of Sulphur, Louisiana; grandchildren, “Kit-Kat” and Maxwell Arthur Miller; and brother, Gene Sims.
