Glenda Lord Cullens Yates, age 78, of Tennille died on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at Tennille Retirement Home following an extended illness. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 31, 2020 in Zeta Cemetery in Tennille. Reverend Mark Jones will officiate.

Mrs. Yates was a native of Washington County, the daughter of the late Leonard David Lord and the late Mildred Tharpe Lord. She was the wife of the late Gary Cullens and the late Pete Yates. Mrs. Yates was a retired Bell South operator in Thomasville for over twenty-five years and served as a teacher’s aide in the Thomas County school system for over ten years. She was a former member of the Board of Directors of the Department of Family and Children's Service in Thomas County. Mrs. Yates was a member of Tennille Baptist Church and the Women's Missionary Union. She was also a member of the Tennille Fine Arts Club, the Tennille Woman's Club and the Washington County Farm Bureau.

Survivors include a brother-in-law, E. Van Cullens, and several cousins and friends.
