Rodney Ray Bacon, 55, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away October 30, 2014, at his residence.
Rodney was born in the state of Washington on April 28, 1959, the fourth of the five children of Staff Sgt. Charles Henry Bacon Sr. and Mildred Frances Morton Bacon (Lavy), a career military family that lived in several states and was last stationed in Dayton, Ohio at Wright - Patterson AFB.
Rodney was preceded in death by his father of Dayton, Ohio, and a sister, Sharon Leigh Bacon Doyal of Henrietta, Texas.
Rodney is survived by his mother of Wichita Falls, Texas, and a daughter, Brittany Marie Bacon Sanford and his grandson, Tyshawn Sanford both of Dayton, Ohio. Also surviving is a sister, Paula Bacon Tubb of Piqua, Ohio, two brothers, Charles Henry Bacon Jr. of Washington state and Edward Bacon of Cincinnati, Ohio, and a half brother, Jim Bacon of Dayton, Ohio.
Partial cremains have been dispersed at the gravesite of his paternal grandparents in Greene County, Arkansas with the remaining ashes being retained by his siblings to be dispersed at the gravesite of his maternal grandparents in Clay County, Texas.
Hillside Chapel of Cincinnati was in charge of cremation. No service was held.
