To my knowledge when she passed away her sister nor any of the Hardesty family was notified. It was when the saw her obituary in the paper in St. Louis this was the notification. She piwould have been my great-aunt. But nothing was mentioned about my grandfather who was her brother or her sister JoAnn. I located the obit and photos of her online. I'm not sure if there was a reason why no one was notified or just family issues i don't know about. This is actually the first time I've ever seen photos of her.

Joyce M. Speraneo, age 77, of St. Charles, MO, died Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital. She was born October 25, 1940 in Overland, MO, the daughter of the late William and Sybil (Roland) Hardesty. She married Ronald M. Speraneo, December 6, 1958. He survives.
Also surviving are two children: Tamma (Bruce) Goodman of St. Peters, MO and Anthony A. (Michelle) Speraneo, II of St. Charles, MO; two grandchildren: Marlena Speraneo and Anthony A. Speraneo, III. She was a sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great aunt and friend to many. Joyce loved her dog Ivory, who misses her greatly.
