MARGIE I CAMPBELL
February 28, 1930 ~ October 26, 2020 (age 90)
Longtime McCurtain County resident, Margie I. Campbell, 90, passed from this life Monday, October 26, 2020 in Broken Bow.
She was born in Washington, OK on February 28, 1930 the daughter of Jim and Evelyn (Roberts) McKinney.
Margie and Bill “Buck” Campbell were united in marriage May 26, 1947 in Blanchard, OK.
Margie was a member of the First Baptist Church, Broken Bow. She was a 1950 graduate of Washington High School, Washington, OK later moving to McCurtain County.
She along with her husband Bill were the Forestry Nurseryman of the Department of Agriculture Tree Farm on Hwy 3 West of Broken Bow for years. Margie worked at First Bank & Trust in the bookkeeping department. She was an excellent employee and co-worker. She always had a smile and a funny story to share.
Margie was a daddy’s girl, she had great memories to share of her daddy and her siblings growing up. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, baking goodies and putting a meal on the table for her family. She was Den Mother for the Boy Scouts and worked on the election board. She was a loving mother and wife and adored her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Evelyn McKinney; husband, Bill “Buck”Campbell; infant daughter, Peggy Campbell; daughter-in-law, Connie Campbell; brothers, Sonny, John, Bob and Derrill.
Margie leaves to cherish her memory; son, Jerry Campbell of Edmond, OK; daughter Joy Bradford and husband, Brent of Rockwall, TX; sisters, Jane Mauldin and husband, Howard of Ft. Worth, TX and Mary Hardage of Hugo, OK;
Granddaughters, Bridget, Stacey Sattre and Ryan, Kelly Genualdi and Mark; great-grandchildren, Breonna, Alex and Dylan; a host of other loving family and friends.
Graveside Services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, October 29, 2020 at Washington Cemetery, Washington, OK with Pastor Pete Wilson officiating.
