Graveside services was held 10 AM, Wednesday, October 28, 2020, at Frank Cemetery in Irwin County, Georgia, with the Rev. Ed Reeves officiating.
Mr. Whitley was born September 28, 1949, in Ocilla, Georgia, to the late Reason & Edna Louise Cody Whitley. He was a nursing home aide at Life Care Center in Fitzgerald. He loved talking to and visiting with people at Burger King and McDonald’s. He also enjoyed visiting the library.
He is survived by two sisters: Bobbie Brown of Fitzgerald and Bernice Helms of Abbeville. Many nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters: Betty Cooley, Sarah Wheelus, Dorothy Watson and Carolyn Whitley Stone and three brothers: Johnny Whitley, Lawrence Whitley and Billy Whitley.
