Mrs. Capps was born December 13, 1935, a daughter of the late Bill Farson Thorpe and the late Georgie Louise Wilson Thorpe.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Capps was predeceased by two sons: Hallie Paxton Clark III, Bill Franklin Sigwald; and two brothers: Jack Wilson Thorpe and Richard David Thorpe.
Mrs. Capps was a member of Rehobeth Baptist Church and is survived by two sons: Joey Sigwald, of Charleston and Richard James Elliott Jr. (Kathy), of Ocklawaha, Florida; three grandchildren: Shannon Elliott of Charleston, Bryan Clark and Nikki Clark both of Greenville; and one great grandchild: Paige Elliott.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, August 29, 2020, at Rehobeth Baptist Church with the Rev. Stevie Baker officiating.
