Mr. Carl Burkhalter
January 21, 1932 - October 23, 2020

Mr. Carl Seay Burkhalter, born on January 21, 1932 in Kosciusko, Mississippi, passed away at age 88 on October 23, 2020 in Knoxville, Tennessee and is now in his forever home in Heaven.

Carl was the loving husband of the late Joyce Anderson Burkhalter.

Carl is survived by his sons, Michael S. Burkhalter (Connie Miller) and Donald S. Burkhalter (Kimberly Bryant); 3 grandchildren Alex Burkhalter (Melody), Wes Burkhalter (Jessica), Cassie Burkhalter and Corey Snapp; 4 great grandchildren, Gatlin and Zoey Burkhalter, Emma and Magnus Snapp.

He loved Jesus, Cokesbury Church, the staff of Pinnacle Assisted Living, Mississippi State Bulldog football and spending time with his family and friends.

At age 86, Carl moved into his first and not his last assisted living facility. He quickly decided he didn't like it there so he called himself a taxi, took it to Pinnacle Assisted Living, negotiated a price and called Don to move his stuff.

He loved peanuts, popcorn, and junk food, but he hated hearing aids, canes and walkers because he was always young at heart.

In lieu of flowers please donate in Carl's name to Susannah's House, c/o Cokesbury United Methodist Church, 9908 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, Tennessee, 37922.
