Martha Williams Lee, 83, of Alexandria, passed from this life on Friday, October 23, 2020, at Marigold House.
Martha was proud of her 34-year marriage to Lyman Anthony Lee, Sr. and being a military wife with military kids, all who went on to serve in the United States Air Force. She was strong in her Catholic faith and loved her church, St. Frances Xavier Cathedral, often attending Mass daily, and singing in the choir. Martha loved kids and worked as a Teacher’s Aide for Walter Hadnot Elementary School and was a Pink Lady for St. Frances Cabrini Hospital for many years. Her passions were gardening, planting and cooking and sharing food, including her gumbo, dirty rice and famous pecan candy. She generously offered her table to her adopted family members, including Gary Fields, Theron Jones and Kelvin Sanders, to name a few. She always had time for everyone and never turned anyone away that needed help.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyman Anthony Lee, Sr.; son, Lyman Anthony Lee, Jr.; and parents, Terry and Gladys Jacob Williams and sisters, Mary Guillot and Rita Pantallion.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, James Patrick Lee, Michael Lee, Terry Lee, Maurice Lee and Tessia Reeves; grandchildren, Lona Kisha Lee, Lyman A. Lee, III, Jamie Lee, Anna Lee, Brian Lee, Jessica Reeves, Jalen Reeves, Terry Lee, Jr., Michelle Lee and Kenneth Lee; 6 great grandchildren (1 living in the US and 5 living in Holland) ; sisters, Agnes Jean Beraud and Annie Ruth Honore and a host of other family members and friends.
