WARREN — Minnie L. Walker, 88, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2020, at St. Joseph Warren Hospital.

She was born Feb. 6, 1932, in Luverne, Ala., to John and Bernice Parks Jackson.

She lived in the local area since 1952. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Warren. Minnie loved sports, the Indians and Browns, watching the news, going to church, traveling, spending time with family and friends, shopping and enjoyed her Eastern Star activities.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband, James L. Walker; her daughter, Beverly A. Jones of Warren; her siblings, John R. Jackson Jr. of Alabama, Willie J. Jackson of Warren and Mary Muriel Bogan of Alabama; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, James L. Walker Jr.; and her siblings, Earl Jackson, Charles Jackson, John Wayne Jackson and Retha Thompson; and Na”Kyiah Jones, great-grandchild.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2020, at 11 a.m. at Friendship Baptist Church, 1954 Brier St. SE Warren, with Pastor Avan Odom. Friends may call one prior the time of the service at the church. Interment will follow in Pineview Memorial Park.
