Lu Ann was born in Danville, Illinois, October 3, 1954, the daughter of Joseph and Maxine Fertaly.
Survivors include one daughter, Annastasia May Brown; a sister, Jo Ellen (Richard) Jones; a stepsister, Pixie (Barney) Sloan; two nieces, Mary and Barbara Jones and several other nieces, nephews and cousins.
Lu Ann was preceded in death by her parents.
After graduating from Schlarman High School, Lu Ann became a nurse. She worked for several places in Danville and Champaign before her daughter was born. Lu Ann loved reading spiritual books and her Bible and loved watching old movies with Anna.
