Obit: Died at her home 8 miles northwest of Albany Monday, February 8, 1892 at 6 o'clock am. Mrs Highley Summa, aged 65 years 4 months and 13 days. Born in Tennessee and afterwards moved to Indiana where she resided until the year 1843 when her husband located on the farm where she resided until her death. Her husband, Frederick Summa, died about 24 years ago. She was the mother of 12 children, all of whom are still living except two. Deceased professed religion in 1852 and united with the Christian church in 1858 and during all the trials of a life full of usefulness had remained steadfast in her religious views. The last few years of her life she was a sufferer on account of heart disease which finally resulted in death. The funeral was conducted by Elder B H Watkins, the remains being laid away to rest at the Shockley church. There was a very large gathering of the sympathizing friends present showing the high esteem in which the deceased was held. The minister preached from the 6th and 7th verses of 2nd Timothy; the same having been selected by her request.
