Edward A. Douglas

DECEMBER 10, 1951 – OCTOBER 22, 2020

Edward A. Douglas, 68, of League City, Texas passed away on October 22, 2020.

Edward was born December 10, 1951 in Waycross, Georgia to Frederick and Myrtice Douglas.

Ed was married to Karin Douglas for 45 years. He was in the Coast Guard for 10 years before he pursued his dream job in law enforcement which he was very passionate about. He served 34.5 years and loved helping people and making a difference.

He had a large gun collection and loved to go to the shooting range. Ed also enjoyed a variety of martial arts. When you didn't see Ed at the gun range, he would be enjoying the simple life at home with his family. He really didn't want to be the center of attention, even though he was 6'6"; you couldn't miss him! He had a quiet, reserved demeanor, but would always speak his mind. He was loved by his family and friends, and he will be dearly missed.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents and sister Becky Brown.

He is survived by his loving wife Karin Douglas; twin brother Fred Douglas.; son Gavin Douglas; daughter Kristin Wood and her husband Phillip; daughter Lauryn Pevehouse and her husband Lance; grandchildren Bryce and Brayden Wood and Brinley and Kasen Pevehouse; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

A memorial service for Edward will be held on Sunday, November 8, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway in Webster, Texas with a reception to follow.

Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared below for the Douglas family.
