Monica Joy Bramblett Adams of Nashville, died on August 13, 2019 surrounded by her family after a long battle of cancer. Joy was born November 20, 1949, the daughter of Monica Joy and Lynn Price Bramblett, Sr. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Lynn Price Bramblett, Jr., and grandson, Jackson Bramblett Cox. She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Dr. George Austin Adams, Sr., son, Dr. George Austin Adams, Jr. (Jamie), daughter, Elizabeth Adams Cox (Allen), grandchildren, Olivia Besst Adams, Margaret Joy Adams, William Austin Adams, Austin Nelson Cox and Henry Thomas Cox, and sister-in-law, Patti Bramblett.

Joy devoted her life and unconditional love to her family. Her family was one of the founding members of St. George's Episcopal Church, and the highlight of her week was to attend services there. For 38 years, she was the office manager for Adams Pediatric Dentistry alongside her husband and son. Reading, traveling, and time spent at the beach were her passions. Yet her strongest qualities were her gentle demeanor and her selfless giving to all those she knew. Heaven loaned us this beautiful spirit for 69 years. Everyone she came in contact with immediately saw and felt that her name fit her perfectly. She carried the utmost amount of peace with her and was the spiritual source for her family during tragedy, celebration, and life in-between.

She attended Harpeth Hall School, St. Cecilia Academy, the University of Mississippi, and George Peabody College. The family wishes to thank Dr. David Schull, Dr. Kent Shih, Dr. Paul Rosenblatt and Dr. Jia Bi for their exceptional care and compassion given to Joy and her family. The family is especially grateful for the staff at Alive Hospice for their genuine care and comfort they extended to her. Visitation with the family will be held at St. George's Episcopal Church on Friday August 23 at 12:30 p.m. The service will be held at 1:30 p.m. with the Reverend Clint Wilson officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to St. George's Episcopal Church, Alive Hospice, or the charity of your choice.

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 2 Timothy 4:7
