On November 19 1778, Esther and Joshua Hunt, the first teacher in the original Moorestown Friends School, were married by Quaker ceremony in the Moorestown Friends Meetinghouse. The newlyweds moved into their home set on ten acres in Moorestown.

The children of Esther Roberts and Joshua Hunt:

ii. Enoch, b. August 17, 1781
iii. Aaron, b. March 9, 1783 (died in infancy)

During September of 1790, the Joshua and Esther Hunt family removed to Fayette County, Pennsylvania where Joshua died on February 26, 1792.

Esther and her children remained on "Hunt Pleasant", their 195-acre farm, that she continued to manage. In addition, she was an Elder in Redstone Monthly Meeting and made several trips to Baltimore and Moorestown, always on horseback.

"On the 4th of 7th mo. 1802, she met with a close trial in the death of her second son, after a short illness, in the 21st year of his age. He was a young man of great promise, much beloved by his family and friends." [1.]

Esther Hunt and John Collins were married on June 3, 1807 in Redstone Meetinghouse. Esther knew John when she lived in Moorestown. She returned to Moorestown with daughter Rachel Hunt who would marry David Roberts.

Esther and her good friend Ann Edwards died by drowning in the Delaware River. Esther and Ann were buried in the Moorestown Friends Cemetery.
