He married Joyce Ann Northrop on June 30, 1956, in Pomona, California. They resided in San Dimas, California, Willits, California, Roseburg, Oregon, Ontario, Canada, Lake Havasu, Arizona and Marionville, Missouri.
Larry graduated High School from Bonita High School in La Verne, California and attended Mt. San Antonio College where he studied auto mechanics. He served in the Army from 1953-1955 as a clerk typist and infantry man, stationed in Germany. After returning home from the military he began a career with the Southern California Gas Company. He worked in the service field and then marketing, retiring after 38 years of service. He was an ordained minister of the Grace Church in Glendora, and Willits, California. He grew up on a dairy ranch and always enjoyed ranch work. He was a skilled woodworker and mechanic. He enjoyed camping and fishing with his family.
Larry leaves his wife of 65 years, Joyce Ann of Marionville, Missouri; two daughters, Debra Snider and her husband, Jerry, of Murrieta, California and Melissa Toppenberg and her husband, Chris, of San Dimas, California; one son, Jerry Bright and his wife, Candis, of Covina, California; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and one brother, Denny Bright and his wife, Kathy, of Victorville, California.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Cletus, and Opal and one brother, Ronald Joseph Bright, in 1953.
A private burial will be held at the Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora, Missouri, under the direction of the Williams Funeral Home in Marionville, Missouri.
