Edna Leonard, 63, of Syracuse, died Wednesday at Francis House. Born in Fort Edward, she was employed by General Motors for 21 years, retiring in 1994, and was previously employed by GE for eight years. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary American Legion Post #1361 and the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post #348. Edna was predeceased by her brother, Leslie C. Mitchell and her adoptive parents, "Daddy" John Forrest Junot and "Mama" Amelia Waldman Junot. Surviving are her sons, Gregory S. (Sherese) Gunther, Sean M. (Adria) Leonard and Martin F. Leonard; mother and stepfather, Dorothy Junot Marcus and Abe Marcus; sisters, Samra (Marty) Knapp, Paula Collins, Elena (Todd) Alberstone, Jackie Brisco and Jean (Al) Chapin; and five beautiful grandchildren. Services will be at 12 noon Saturday at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Friends may call preceding the service from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans, 344 W. Genesee St., Syracuse, NY 13202.
