Donna was born March 16, 1941 in Gilson, Illinois the daughter of Alvin L. and Mildred B. (Brush) Jefferson.
She is survived by her son, James Soper of Seattle, Washington; her daughters, Mitzie (Jeff) Brown of Galesburg, Darla (Paul) Puckett of Lincoln, Illinois and Lisa Stevenson of Abingdon, Illinois; her brother, Nicki Jefferson of Galesburg; her sisters, Arlene (Robert) Bishop of Bloomington, Illinois and five grandchildren, Adam Torres, Amanda Wikert, Cassandra (Chad) Hurd, Amber (Ethan) Brown, Emily Stevenson and seven great grandchildren, Levi and Ryder Blanford, Camryn Hurd, Izabella, Wesley and Jonah Wikert and William Brown. She is preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, Jordan Puckett and one great grandson, Jack Wikert.
Donna worked as a receiving inspector for Admiral/Maytag Corporation for over 25 years, retiring August 13, 1996. She was an avid Cub fan. Donna finally caved into the new technology and realized she enjoyed playing slot games on her Kindle and exploring the world of Facebook.
Donna’s wishes were to be cremated, with no services. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com
