ARMSTRONG, Theordore
Funeral services were held February 11, 1998 at the Hunter Funeral Home in Watertown for Theordore, R. Armstrong, 92, of Statesville. Tommy Davis and Albert Jewell officiated and burial followed in Jennings Cemetery. He died February 8, 1998 at University Medical Center. He was a minister, retired from the U. S. Postal Service, and a lifetime member of the Statesville United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Jennings Armstrong and a brother, Kelsey Armstrong. He was the son of the late Monroe and Rena Harvey Armstrong.

He is survived by two daughters, Ruth O'Neal of Auburntown and Dorothy (Van) Jennings of Statesville; three grandchildren, Lynn (Cathy) O'Neal of Auburntown, Darnelle (Jim) Brown of Liberty and Diane (Floyd) Gaddis of Statesville; four great grandchildren, Jason Brown, Jeanna Caplinger and Emily O'Neal of Auburntown and Tracy Crawley of Woodbury; two great great grandchildren, Kanya Caplinger and Emily O'Neal; and two nephews, Elbert and Charles Armstrong.
Hunter Funeral Home of Watertown was in charge of arrangements.
