Mr. Christopher James Stubbs life story began on June 17, 1966., he was born to Mrs. Barbara Smith Stubbs and the late Mr. Gus Stubbs, Jr. in Thomaston, Upson County, Georgia. He was educated in the public schools of Upson County and graduated from Upson High School. In school, he excelled in football and basketball. At an early age, he joined the Salem Baptist Church.

Upon reaching manhood he entered the workforce. He worked in several nursing homes in the Middle Georgia area as a floor technician. He enjoyed working with the patients and gave them the best of care. His las employment was as a floor technician at Harborview Health Systems in Thomaston, GA.

Christopher was a loving son, father, brother uncle, and cousin. He loved spending time with his family. One of his favorite wears was tennis shoes. He had to have everything matching right down to the shoes He loved watching football, basketball, and baseball. In his early years, he played on the community baseball team. He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers, Darren Stubbs and Danny Lamar Stubbs. On Saturday, September 19, 2020 his life story came to an end. The Lord called his name, he answered and went home to rest. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Mrs. Barbara Stubbs(James) Hammonds, Sr. of Yatesville, GA; five children, Xzavier Marquez Stubbs of Thomaston, GA, Tytiyana Latrice Stubbs, Klavrissa Ruthland and Jacob Warren Jordan all of Macon, GA, and Williams Elijah James Stubbs of Thomaston, GA; one sister, Mrs. Vicki (Antonio) Hammond of Macon, GA; two brothers, Deacon Ronnie (Maxine) Stubbs of Roberta, GA; and Minister Kenneth (Jeannette) Stubbs of Macon, GA; a devoted fiance’, Ms. Trese Birts of Thomaston, GA; aunts and uncles include Ms. Ida Smith, Mrs. Thedy (Jonathan) Leonard, Mr. Grady ( Effie) Smith, Mr. James (Barnette) Smith, Mr. Billy (Mari Ann) Smith, and Mr. Moses (Linda) Smith all of Thomaston, GA, Mr. Edward (Debra) Smith of Culloden, GA, Mrs. Shirley (Raymond) Clark of CA and Mr. Joseph (Farrah) Smith of Forsyth, GA; a devoted friend, Mr. Michael Caldwell of the Salem Community; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends whom all will miss him dearly.
