Smith Rites Held April 24
Funeral services for Mrs. Burdett Smith of Sallis were held at the Southern Funeral Home Chapel, Friday, April 24 at 2:30 p.m. Rev Hollis Bryant officiated. Burial was in the new Hope Cemetery at Sallis.
Mrs. Smith died at her home Thursday night. She had lived in Sallis all her life, and was 40 years old.She leaves four daughters, Peggy Sue, Elizabeth Dianne, Deborah and Judy Denise all of Sallis. She also leaves her husband Burdett Smith, her mother and daddy; Mr and Mrs. Flody Cain of Sallis and her grandmother Mrs. J.R. Cotton.
Southern Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
