Mark Edward Stephens, 69, of Nampa, Idaho passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 2, 2019 surrounded by his loving friends and caregivers. He was born January 4, 1950 in Nyssa, Oregon to William Silas Stephens and Joyce Stephens (Greenwood). Mark has no siblings and is survived by his cousin, Kathy Gannuscio, and other distant family members.
Mark was admitted to the Idaho State School and Hospital (ISSH) on August 10, 1956 at the age of 6, where he lived until the age of 57. On October 1, 2013, Mark transferred into Residential Habilitation living with Ambitions of Idaho where he resided until his passing.
Mark had a great sense of humor and liked to interact with preferred caregivers. Mark enjoyed going to the park, listening to music, watching cartoons, watching people, singing songs, and reciting nursery rhymes with caregivers. A memorial will be held at Harvest Life Church, 11347 Orchard Avenue, Nampa, Idaho on Monday, March 11, 2019 beginning at 4:00 PM. All family, friends, and former caregivers are invited to attend.
