Dennis M. Hammond, 62, of Bement died 12:30 p.m. Friday (Sept. 14, 2007) in John and Mary E. Kirby Hospital emergency room, Monticello.
Mr. Hammond was born Aug. 19, 1945, in Farmer City, the son of Arthur and Mae Snodgrass Hammond. He married Barbara Kopp on June 21, 1970, in Warrensburg.
He was an avid bowler, train fan and St. Louis Cardinals fan and was a friend of the First Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are his wife; brother, John L. Hammond; mother-in-law, Adra Kopp; nephew, Daniel Hammond.; and niece, Denise Hammond.
He was preceded in death by his parents and nephew, David Hammond.
