Sharon Renee Hunter Payne, 51, of Opelika, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at Columbus Hospice House in Columbus, Georgia. She was born on November 16, 1968 in Washington, D.C.
Public Viewing will be on Friday, October 16, 2020 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Harris Funeral Home, 515 South 6th Street, Opelika, Alabama.
Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Garden Hills Cemetery, 1218 Frederick Road, Opelika, Alabama 36801, Reverend L.W. Booker will officiate.
Survivors include: her husband, Alvin Payne; two daughters, Ebony Payne and Anita Payne; father, Willie Hunter, Jr.; mother, Maria Easler; one sister, Teresa Hunter; three brothers, Ismail “Rocket” Harrison, Willie Hunter III and Derrick Powell; one aunt, Sherri Maynard; one uncle, Gary (Tina) Barnes; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws and friends.
Arrangements entrusted to Harris Funeral Home, 515 South 6th Street, Opelika, Alabama.
CDC recommends that people wear cloth face coverings in public settings when around people outside of their household, especially when other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain.
