Pastor Larry Edwin Youngblood, 63, was called by Jesus to his heavenly home on January 22, 2016.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 26, 2016, and from 8:00 A.M. to 10:45 A.M. at New Hope Fellowship in Eunice, LA. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 A.M. Pastor Rod Aguillard, senior overseer at the Network of Related Pastors in Reserve, LA, will be conducting the service.

Larry, the youngest of 5 children, was born to William E. Youngblood and Jewell Youngblood on December 29, 1952, in Crestview, FL. He finished high school there in 1970 and took an Associate's Degree in Education at Okaloosa Walton Junior College in Niceville, FL, in 1972. In 1974, Larry accepted the call to become the youth pastor at Reserve Baptist Church in Reserve, LA, where he met the love his life, Deborah, to whom he was united in the life-long bond of marriage on June 14 that same year. Larry and his wife, along with their first 3 children, moved to Eunice, LA, in 1977 to fulfill the call to start a church there. Larry spent 25 years serving the people of Eunice as pastor of Eunice Fellowship, then New Hope Fellowship, having 2 more children, before moving to Vacherie, LA, as pastor of Victory Assembly of God. In 2014, Larry moved with his wife to Doyline, LA, where he served as pastor of Point Chapel Assembly of God.
Larry was a loving husband, a caring father, a pastor to many, and a dear friend to all who knew him well. He was a man who loved what was just, forgave many wrongs, and could say truly with the Psalmist, "My soul hath relied on His word; my soul hath hoped in the Lord" (Ps. 130:5).

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, brother Ferrell, and sister Sharon.

He is survived by two sisters, Rita Tobin and husband Tom, and Maranell Raley, wife Deborah L. Youngblood, daughter Lita D. Munson and husband Donny, son Joshua D. Youngblood and wife Marcell, daughters Anna Duncan and Petra J. Youngblood, son Peter J. Youngblood, grandchildren Breeanna Munson, Meghan Youngblood, Trevor Youngblood, Joshua Youngblood, Courtney Caruso, Madison Youngblood, Zachary Caruso, Wyatt Brand, and great-grandchild Lacie Munson. Serving as pallbearers are sons Joshua and Peter Youngblood, brother-in-law David Rodrigue, grandsons Trevor and Joshua Youngblood, and long-time family friend Luke Andrus.

Honorary pallbearers will be son-in-law Donny Munson, andEric Bond, husband of Larry's niece. Funeral services provided by Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road H, Shreveport, LA, 71108 (318) 686-4334.
