Tommy Jeff Williams, at the age of 87 went to be with our lord and savior, Oct 23, 2020.

He was a beloved father, grandfather, and great grandfather. The first child of Silas and Virgie Williams, was born on April 23, 1933 in Longview Texas. He grew up mostly in Atoka Oklahoma and attended Atoka High School. He served in the Army from 1950 to 1952 during the Korean War as a member of the 45th infantry. On April 21, 1952 two days shy of his 19th birthday, Cpl. Tommy Williams while on patrol heard cries for help coming from a mine field. A soldier had stepped on a mine. He traversed through the mine field over a quarter of a mile to find them. Once he found them he headed back for help, while marking a safe passage back. He then lead a recovery party back through the mine field to get medical help. His actions saved the lives of the two soldiers and led the rescue party out of the mine field. All of this at the age of 18. He received the Soldiers Medal for his heroic actions. After he left the military he returned home and worked for his father in construction for several years in Texas . He married our wonderful mom Marjorie Ann Bailey, on May 4, 1951. The love of his life, they were married for 69 years. They had four children, Linda, Larry, Terry and Gary.

Residing most of their lives in Hurst Tx and then later in retirement lived Bridgeport Tx.
He retired from American Airlines after 25 years as a mechanic. He enjoyed his family, fishing, watching the lake and working around on his property on Lake Bridgeport.

Most of all he enjoyed having all his kids, grandkids and great grandkids out at the lake. He enjoyed watching Disney movies with all of the kids. He taught many of us how to fish, swim, and drive a golf cart. He was always there to help, to teach and protect us. He is greatly loved and respected and will be greatly missed.

He will be laid to rest with military honors at DFW National Cemetery on Tuesday Oct. 27 11:00 am. His family and friends are welcome.
