Frank Baker Scott was born February 2, 1945, in Crawford, MS. He was the son Frank Hairston Baker and Ella Mae Hopkins of Mississippi. Frank accepted Christ at an early age and his faith was tested and sustained him throughout his life.
Frank was a man of intellect and talent. He had a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and earned three Master’s Degrees in English, Social Work and Guidance Counseling. He was a published author and retired from the Michigan School System after 32 years of teaching and seven years of counseling.
In the early season of his life Frank was married to Nina Rae Scott, of Gulfport, MS. From this union was born Charlotte Terrell (Warren Terrell). During the later season of his life, Frank married his high school sweetheart Annie L. (Tucker) Scott.
Frank leaves to cherish his memory his sister, Velma Hopkins; four stepchildren, Tracy Powell, Cassandra Purchase (Steve Purchase), Rass Powell (Pamela Powell), and Tony Powell (Nikki Sepolen); nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of grand, great grandchildren and other relatives.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, October 31, 2020, at Mowell Funeral Home in Fayetteville, GA, at 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM. There will be a graveside service at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 5755 Mallory Road in College Park at 11:30 AM with Pastor Barry Knight officiating.
