Kernersville – Mr. Gregory Scott Hancock, 55, passed away October 20, 2020 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born in Danville, VA on April 12, 1965 to the late Ollie Odell and Joyce Soyars Hancock. He worked as an IT Tech for Wake Forest Baptist Health for 24 years, until he decided to become an entrepreneur and begin his own business as Triad Wildlife Control. Greg was an avid deer hunter and fisherman. He loved to teach his youth to hunt and play ball. He coached Walkertown Little League baseball, travel ball and his daughters Kernersville Little League softball teams. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two brothers, Bryan and Chris Hancock, and an infant nephew, Zachary.

Surviving are; his loving wife, Teresa Hutchens Hancock, one daughter, Tiffani Hancock, two grandcorgies, Lucy and Cooper; one sister, Angie (Chuck) Boyer; mother in law, Barbara S. Hutchens; father in law, Benny Hutchens; sister in law, Jennifer Hancock-Kendrick; brothers in law, Jeffrey Hutchens and Bryan (Colleen) Hutchens; nephews, Nicholas (Amy) Hancock and Andrew Hutchens; nieces, Jessica Hancock, and Reagan Boyer; Kayla Hutchens along with numerous devoted friends .

A graveside service will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, October 24, 2020 at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory in Kernersville. Due to limitations for public gatherings, there will be no formal visitations at this time. Friends will be able to sign the register book and view from 3 - 5 PM Friday and from 10 – 1 PM Saturday at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) Piedmont Triad Chapter at 216 W. Market Street, Greensboro, NC 27401.
