She was a native and lifelong resident of Rutherford County. Mrs.
Melton worked at Mitchell Nelson Elementary School in food service. She was a member of Kingwood Heights Church of Christ.
Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents. Carse Hudson Baskin and Mary Catherine Henard Baskin; husband, Herschel Carl Melton; her brother, James Robert Baskin.
She is survived by one nephew, James Bunny Baskin of Murfreesboro, TN.
A chapel service will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at Jennings & Ayers.
Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Family and Friends will serve as Pallbearers.
Visitation will be from! 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday at Jennings & Ayers Funeral Home, 820 South Church Street, Murfreesboro, TN, 615-893-2422
