She graduated from Upper Arlington High School, Class of 1953. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in nursing and later a Master’s degree in nursing education from the College of Nursing, Ohio State University, where she was a member of Delta Gamma. For 30 years she was a nurse at Children’s Hospital, first in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and for the last seven years as Associate Director of Nursing Education. She was the office manager for Hooker Painting & Decorating for 25 years. She was preceded by her parents, Margaret and Wilmer Harman (Columbus, OH); and sister, Sue Scofield (Charleston, SC). She is survived by her husband, Ron; children, Cheri (Donal) O’Mathuna, Jeff (Emily) Hooker and Greg (Cheryl) Hooker; grandchildren, Catrina, Conor, Peter, Carly, Max, Shaney and Maggie; and great-granddaughter, Billie Anne.
