Nicholas (Nick) Nathaniel Slaughter, a service member, grandson, son, brother, uncle, and friend, died unexpectedly on October 19, 2020 at the age of 29.
Nick is survived by his parents, Marland and Charolette Slaughter; his sisters, Keyondra Parker and Talisha Tanksley; his brother and sister in-law, Tremayne and Jasmine Crenshaw; his grandmother, Deloise Slaughter; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Nick was born in Dallas, Texas on November 19, 1990. He later graduated from Liberty High School in Frisco, Texas where he played football and ran track. Football was his favorite sport which he loved. He attended the University of North Texas and was preparing to receive his business degree. He enlisted in the United States Air Force Reserve where he currently held the rank of Senior Airman.
Nick was an amazing young man. He loved his family, loved hanging with his friends, and loved cars, a passion that he shared with his father. He had a great spirit which he often displayed with his intoxicating smile. He was a role model to his nieces and nephews as well as a support system. He loved nothing more but for everyone to be together laughing and having a good time. He will be deeply missed by his friend, family, and all who knew him.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas.
