Jimmy G. Woods, 80, of Wynne, died on Friday, October 23, 2020, in Jonesboro, at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House.

Jimmy was born on February 26, 1940 to the late Gordon "Shorty" Woods and Ophelia "Toodle" Hatchett Woods. He was a contractor for South Western Bell until his retirement in 1985. He after retirement he became a cattleman. He enjoyed retirement, spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jimmy was an avid fisherman and hunter, hunting quail and elk. He was a long time member of Fitzgerald Crossing Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Patsy Ahart Woods, of the home, sons, Chris Woods and wife Charissa of Wynne, March Woods of Wynne, sister, Rebecca Woods Karnes of Cherry Valley, grandchildren, Lindsey Woods Cook of Jonesboro, Matthew Woods and Cesily of Wynne, Caitlin Woods of Jonesboro, Dalton Woods of Wynne, and great grandchildren, Turner, Bakett, Parker and Stella.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 26, 2020, at Kernodle Funeral Home from 10 AM until 11 AM. Graveside services will follow at 12 PM at Harris Chapel Cemetery.
