LeRoy Albert Howard, Jr., 58 of Cross Village, died October 17, 2020 at his home in Cross Village.
LeRoy was born on February 4, 1962 in Pontiac, Michigan, the son of LeRoy A. Howard and Suzanne Louise (Koch) Howard. He graduated high school from Pellston in 1980.
LeRoy worked for Asplundh Tree Company in Minnesota for many years before becoming owner of the Cross Village General Store. He worked tirelessly to ensure the supply of gasoline and other necessities, which many came to rely on. His legacy still lives on through the Cross Village General Store. LeRoy was a craftsmen. Whether it was a piece of furniture, a boat, or even a catapult, LeRoy could figure out how to build anything. LeRoy also enjoyed playing golf and riding his bike around Cross Village. He had 2 dogs, Boozer and Blaze, whom he loved dearly.
LeRoy is survived by his siblings, Steven (Vilma) Howard of Levering, Laura (Steve) Ladoski of Collierville, TN and Jan (Doug) Hill of Harbor Springs; nieces and nephews that meant the world to him – Erik, Brandon, Mckenzie, Steven Jr., Tyler, Riley and Ashley as well as many good friends who have been there for him through all of his trials and tribulations.
LeRoy is preceded in death by his parents, LeRoy and Suzanne Howard.
Due to COVID19 and the need to protect our friends and family a memorial service will be held sometime this spring.
