Mark Antony Walker Sr. was born May 19, 1951, in Dayton, Ohio to Mark Walker and Callie Mae (Osby) Walker At age 69, he received his wings early Monday morning, October 19, 2020, in Dayton.

Mark accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age at the Zion Baptist Church in Dayton, Ohio. He later became a member of Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church (LHMBC) in Cincinnati, Ohio. He professed his love of Christ through music. He was a member of the Cincinnati Chapter of the Gospel Music Workshop and was a dedicated member of several of the Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church choirs.

Growing up in Dayton, he graduated from Colonel White High School, Class of 1970. After graduation he attended Central State University and then decided to join the U.S. Air Force. Upon discharge from the U.S. Air Force, he received his certificate to become a diesel mechanic and dedicated over 35 years of service to Duke Energy.

When his children were growing up Mark committed his life to coaching youth sports in Cincinnati, Ohio. He opened his home and heart to hundreds of children and most of these children know him today as Coach Walker. Mark had a long lasting impact in his community through his coaching and dedication to his work with the church.

He was preceded in death by his parents Mark Walker and Callie Mae Osby-Walker; sister, Fatima Diane Allen.

Mark leaves to cherish his memory his long-time companion, Sharon E. Jackson; sons, Mark Walker II and Sean Walker; sisters, Barbara Anna Ward, Deborale (Renee) Richardson; brothers, Hiram Kirk (Joan) Walker and Lawrence Walker-Wright; grandchildren whom held a special place in his heart, Mark Walker III, Kennedi Walker and Mackenzie Walker; a host of nieces and nephews.
