Terri was born in Kinder, Louisiana to Sherry and Pete (deceased) Fournet. Terri loved growing up in Kinder, and after graduating from Kinder High, went on to McNeese State University where she followed in the footsteps of her father and older sister and received her degree in education. Her career included teaching Physical Education and Special Education where her patience and love were sorely needed. Terri was a loving daughter, sister, cousin, aunt, niece, and friend. She adored her son and grandson, and wanted nothing more than for them to have a wonderful life. Terri brought her quick wit to every gathering, and she had a sensitive heart and generous spirit with everyone she met. She had a soft spot in her heart for animals, too, and she was grateful for her furry companion Ginger. Terri will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her son, Jacob Laughlin of Plano, Texas; grandson, James Laughlin of Plano; mother and her husband, Sherry Fournet Holmes and Bruce Holmes of Kinder; two sisters, Vicki Fournet Ventura and her husband, Esteban, of Georgetown, Texas and Patricia Fay Fournet of Louisiana; brother, Joe Fournet and his wife, Melissa, of Lafayette, Louisiana; and multiple nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Terri was preceded in death by her father, Rushton (Pete) Fournet.
