Robert Clark (R.C.) Hubbard, 92, of Amarillo, TX died peacefully on Thursday, October 22, 2020.

Services will be at 4:00 P.M., Sunday, October 25, 2020, in the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd., with Glen Walton officiating. Burial will be private. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, Amarillo.

R.C. was born to Charlie and Myra Hubbard on December 27, 1927 in Memphis, TX. He graduated from Memphis High School and served in the United States Navy at the end of WW II on Saipan. He married Jessie Terry on December 31, 1949 in Wellington, TX. The couple made their home in Amarillo.

R.C. worked as a special operator and production section manager at Pantex for over 30 years. He was a talented carpenter and loved working in his wood shop and helping his family and neighbors with building projects. R.C. was a youth baseball coach for Kids Inc. and YWCA for many seasons. He was a 32-degree Mason at Amarillo Commandery and a 50-year member of the San Jacinto Masonic Lodge 1330.

R.C. was a long-time member of North Amarillo Church of Christ and later Bell Avenue Church of Christ. He was always willing to help the widows and elderly of the congregation. In his later years, he volunteered at Hilltop Senior Citizens Center.

R.C. was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, 2 brothers, and his nephew, Pete Cousins Jr.

He is survived by his three children, Bob Hubbard and wife Phyllis, Mary Powell and husband Ted, and Al Hubbard; 5 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and beloved nieces and nephews.
