Shirley Schiefelbein was born May 12, 1934, at Graceville, MN, the daughter of Albert and Orilla (Bury) Schiefelbein. She grew up in Browns Valley, MN and graduated from high school there.
Shirley married her high school sweetheart, Michael Holland on Oct. 6, 1953. They made their home in Fargo, ND, while Mike attended NDSU School of Pharmacy. In 1959 they moved their family to West Fargo.
Shirley and Mike owned and operated The Prescription Shop in West Fargo. They retired in 1997 but continued to remain active in the family business. They enjoyed winters in Arizona and summers at Big Cormorant Lake until Mike’s death December 19, 2013.
Mom was quietly tough, unwaveringly passionate for and supportive of her family, and was a guiding light to all of us. She now has her wings and is with Dad. Childhood sweethearts, now eternal partners in the most glorious place.
She is survived by four children, Sherry (Bradley) Olslund, Barb (Dale) Ebensteiner, Tim (Elly) Holland, and Jon (Tammy) Holland; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, Susan Holland, brother Perry, sister Janet LeClair, and brother-in-law James “Butch” Holland.
A Private Service will be held at a later date, with Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery- North, Fargo. West Funeral Home & Life Tribute Center.
