Jane Owen, 70, of Green Street, Peace Dale,died Friday, October 16, 2020 at her home.

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Dorothy (Rich) Owen.

Jane graduated from Scituate High School, Class of 1968 and received her Bachelor's Degree in 1972 from the University of Rhode Island.

She had worked as an executive secretary at Brown & Sharpe for many years, having previously worked at Gorham’s Silver Company. Jane loved crafting, and often spent time on hand crafts, including needlepoint, knitting and sewing projects.

She is survived by her siblings, Jeanne Troiano and her husband, James of Sarasota, Florida, Albert Owen of West Chester, Pennsylvania, and David Owen of Trenton, New Jersey, as well as her niece, Jaime Ward of Missoula, Montana, and her nephew, James Troiano III, of Austin, Texas, and her beloved grand-nieces and grand-nephews, Rex, Griffin, Lucy, Hank and Hugh.

A committal service will be held at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any of the following charities: Doctors Without Borders USA , P.O. Box 5030, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5030, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 and Habitat for Humanity .
