Obituary for Lono Adams, Jr.
Lono Adams, Jr., age 90, of Greenbrier, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, October 22, 2020. He was born November 19, 1929, in Jerusalem, Arkansas, a son of Lono Adams, Sr. and Amelia Driver Adams.
He graduated from Scotland High School in 1947 where he met Margaret who he later married. Lono was a Marine from July 7, 1948, to July 6, 1952, and was a 32 degree Scotish Rite, worked as a Carpenter and Millright while owning a farm and raising chickens. He enjoyed woodworking and making things with his hands. He obeyed the Gospel June 26, 1998, at the Church of Christ in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Survivors include his wife of 24 years Margaret Gilkinson Adams of Greenbrier; step-children, Linda (Lyle) Cothern of Jerusalem, Howard (Benita) Clifton of Springdale, Larry (Pam) Stroud of Conway, and Diana Stroud Roche of Georgetown, Delaware; step-grandchildren, Tonya Cothern of Conway, Amber (Mark) Jones of Alexander, Jamie (John) Price of Bryant; step-great-grandchildren, Ross, Joseph, and Linda Price all of Bryant.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 24, 2020, at Cedar Creek Cemetery with Tommy Acton and Glen Eliott officiating. Arrangements are by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Saturday, October 24, at the funeral home.
